Basketball Recap: Lompoc Takes a Loss

Lompoc came into this matchup off a tough 30-point loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Cabrillo Conquistadores by a score of 61-58 on Monday. The Braves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Conquistadores apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Lompoc is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7. As for Cabrillo, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Lompoc wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 54-50 loss against Nipomo on the 16th. As for Cabrillo, they will be taking part in a tournament against Polytechnic at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
