Vista del Lago played in conference for the first time on Thursday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They walked away with a 63-50 victory over the Paloma Valley Wildcats. This was a revenge game for the Ravens: when they faced off against the Wildcats back in January, they had to take a 59-54 defeat.

Vista del Lago's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Derrell Durley led the charge by going 6 for 8 en route to 13 points and three steals. Durley continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Aiden Childs was another key player, putting up 11 points and four blocks.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erick Fernando, who posted nine points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Fernando a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Taeshawn Armstrong, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 11 points and five steals.

Vista del Lago's record is now 6-19. As for Paloma Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13.

Vista del Lago wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 67-50 defeat against Citrus Hill on the 3rd. As for Paloma Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 60-54 win against Perris on the 3rd.
