Baseball Recap: Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus Sets Scoring Season-High Against Northtown

Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus extended their losing streak to ten on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-10 in the process. They lost 26-9 to the Northtown Pumas. On the bright side, the nine- run performance marked the Ravens' highest-scoring game to date.

Adrian Zavala was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Guillermo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Northtown's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-11. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their two-run performance the contest before.

On Northtown's side, Will Flores was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one triple. Those five stolen bases gave Flores a new career-high. Fabian Negron was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.

Coincidentally, Intrinsic Charter School Downtown Campus and Northtown will both be playing Cristo Rey Jesuit the next time they take the field. The Ravens will head out to face the Cristeros at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Pumas will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
