Baseball Recap: Concord Victorious

Concord hadn't done well against Bronson recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets had just enough and edged out the Vikings 11-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Yellowjackets have posted since April 18th.

Lane Blossom was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Cole, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Concord's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 5-12. As for Bronson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bronson beat Concord by a score of 7-0 on Friday.
