Basketball Recap: Panguitch's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games + How To Watch

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Panguitch ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They secured a 59-53 W over the Green River Pirates. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Bobcats considering their 29-point performance the game before.

Casey Walter had an outrageously good game as he dropped a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Those 17 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taycen Ramsay, who posted eight points.

Panguitch smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jason Hernandez, who earned 24 points along with seven boards and five assists. The contest was Hernandez's sixth in a row with at least 17 points. Cristian Mendoza also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

With the win, Panguitch broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-3. As for Green River, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Panguitch has already played their next matchup, a 57-51 loss against Wayne on the 10th. As for Green River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-62 victory against Tabiona on the 10th.
