Softball Recap: Brawley Comes Up Short

Brawley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 11-4 to the West Hills Wolf Pack. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 5-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Brawley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Demi Cornejo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Brawley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for West Hills, they pushed their record up to 10-4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brawley will square off against Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Hills, they will take on Eastlake in a tournament on Tuesday. The Titans' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Wolf Pack's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
