Basketball Game Preview: Brownell Talbot Raiders vs. Mead Raiders

Brownell Talbot is 1-9 against Mead since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. Brownell Talbot will head out on the road to square off against Mead at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Brownell Talbot came up short against Arlington and fell 54-41. The Raiders were down 46-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Perry Anderson, who posted 16 points and three steals. That was a full 39% of Brownell Talbot's points, marking the third time in a row Anderson has had more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcel Banks, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, Mead put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past High Plains 56-24. The contest marked the Raiders' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Mead's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Brownell Talbot, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Brownell Talbot suffered a grim 65-44 defeat to Mead in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Can Brownell Talbot avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
