West Haven is a perfect 5-0 against Branford since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Hornets at 3:45 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Monday just wasn't the day for West Haven's offense. They lost 8-0 to Hand on Monday. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Branford came up short against Hamden on Monday and fell 12-8.

Madelyn Faticone and Ellie Brown did some serious damage despite the final result: Faticone went 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Brown went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Faticone's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Pompano, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

West Haven's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Branford, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

West Haven came out on top in a nail-biter against Branford when the teams last played on April 6th, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
