Softball Recap: Glenbrook South Comes Up Short

Glenbrook South came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 11-1 to the New Trier Trevians. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trevians apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Sophia Buckingham made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Glenbrook South's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for New Trier, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Glenbrook South will square off against Palatine at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for New Trier, they will face off against Hoffman Estates at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
