Baseball Recap: Tornillo Comes Up Short

Tornillo extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 16 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-9. They lost 17-1 to the Irvin Rockets. The Coyotes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rockets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

As for Irvin, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. The matchup marked their most dominant win of the season so far.

For Irvin's part, Robert Quimiro was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs Quimiro has posted since back in March of 2025. Joseph Davila Saenz was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Tornillo has already played their next game (against Cathedral), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Irvin also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Fabens.
