Homefires falls despite strong effort from Colin Chesnut

On Saturday, Homefires had to suffer through a rough 72-36 loss at the hands of First Baptist Academy.

When it comes to explaining why Homefires lost, one person who can't be blamed is Colin Chesnut. Despite the final result, he scored 26 points. That was a full 72.2% of Homefires' points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Reagan Rademacher, who scored eight points.

Homefires has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for First Baptist Academy, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Homefires' road trip will continue as they head out to face First Baptist Christian at 2:30 p.m. on January 13th. As for First Baptist Academy, they will take on Lebanon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lebanon is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
