Recap: Sycamore Aviators vs. Oak Hills Highlanders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakota East, the Sycamore Aviators were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 37-32 W over Oak Hills. For Sycamore, this counts as revenge for the 44-24 loss Oak Hills walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Despite the loss, Oak Hills still got an impressive performance from Rhianna Riep, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Riep grabbed two or more steals.
Sycamore's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Oak Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.
Sycamore will be home for the holidays to greet Lakota West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Hills, they will head out on the road to face off against Lakota East at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lakota East has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
