Basketball Recap: Beaver Comes Up Short

Beaver lost against North Summit back in February and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Beavers took a hard 62-43 fall against the Braves.

North Summit found their leader in sophomore Tayton Pace, who shot 55% from the field to rack up 26 points and three blocks. The matchup was Pace's fifth in a row with at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Cru Richins, who posted 13 points.

Beaver dropped their record down to 3-2 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for North Summit, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beaver will venture away from home to square off against Enterprise at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be the Beavers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for North Summit, they will head out to challenge Rowland Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Braves will be up against the Winged Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54.6 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
