Football Recap: Lewiston Falls to Massabesic in First Game of Season

Lewiston unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 26-6 to the Massabesic Mustangs on Friday. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2016.

Nolan Pomerleau was nothing short of spectacular for Massabesic: he rushed for 111 yards and two scores.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewiston is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will challenge Gorham at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Massabesic, they will venture away from home to take on Oxford Hills/Buckfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
