Erie is 2-8 against Holy Family since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Erie Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Holy Family Tigers at 6:00 p.m.

Erie is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Thursday, they were much more limited against Longmont on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Trojans are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, Holy Family put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Jefferson Academy 2-1. While the Tigers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-10-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Jesus Molina and Oliver Hansen scored both of Holy Family's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Erie's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Holy Family, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.
