Softball Recap: Liberty Christian Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Lejeune last Thursday, Liberty Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Liberty Christian Academy Heat fell 7-2 to the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots on Friday. The Heat were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Hollyn Thigpen made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

Liberty Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-2.

Coming up, Liberty Christian Academy will challenge Jones at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pungo Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
