Volleyball Recap: Piggott Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Piggott walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Guy-Perkins Thunderbirds with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday.

One reason for the win was Piggott's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-17.

Piggott is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. As for Guy-Perkins, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.

Piggott will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Holcomb at 6:00 p.m. on October 9, 2026. Guy-Perkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
