Basketball Recap: North Platte Bulldogs vs. Hastings Tigers
The North Platte Bulldogs won the last time they faced the Hastings Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. North Platte came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 52-44. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Platte.
North Platte's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clancy Brown, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Brown has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Macie Freeze, who scored 16 points.
North Platte now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hastings, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Platte will take on the Bearcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Scottsbluff and the Bulldogs are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Hastings, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Antlers at 2:30 p.m. on February 3rd. Elkhorn presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Tigers in Nebraska (the Antlers are ranked 35th, while the Tigers are ranked 179th).
