Baseball Game Preview: Southeastern Panthers vs. Minford Falcons

The Southeastern Panthers will head out to take on the Minford Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Southeastern can't be too worried about heading out to take on Minford: they just beat Wellston at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Panthers walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Golden Rockets on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Minford had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Jeeps 6-4. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly two runs.

Carter Frazie was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Max Lauder also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Southeastern's record is now 11-7. As for Minford, their record now sits at 17-2.

Southeastern couldn't quite get it done against Minford when the teams last played back in April of 2025 as they fell 14-11. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
