Saratoga Central Catholic put another one in the bag  on Sunday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Hoosic Valley Hawks get on the board and left with  a   27-0  victory. That's more bragging rights for the Saints, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
 Pierce Byrne made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-6 with one  home run and four  RBI. Those  four  RBI gave  him a new career-high.
 In other batting news,  Ryan Gillis was a standout: he went 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024.  Jason Pescetti was another key player,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with five  RBI, three  runs,  and two  doubles.

Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Hoosic Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record  this season.
