Baseball Recap: Tucker Has No Trouble Against Stephenson

Tucker lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Stephenson, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Tigers put the hurt on the Jaguars with a sharp 14-1 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted against the Jaguars since April 17, 2017.

Harrison Morledge made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). Morledge was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jalen Cross was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Walker, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Tucker has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs this season. As for Stephenson, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Tucker will take on Shiloh at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Stephenson, they will be playing at home against Arabia Mountain at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
