Soccer Game Preview: Dyersburg vs. Madison

The Dyersburg Trojans will head out to face off against the Madison Mustangs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Madison will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Dyersburg extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Trojans' defense stepped up to hand Obion County a 9-0 shutout. That's two games straight that Dyersburg have won by exactly nine goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madison). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over Peabody on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 8-0.

Madison hit Peabody with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ava Torres (6), Samia Dardas (2), Maddie Patton, and Lola Greenway.

Dyersburg's record now sits at 8-5. As for Madison, their record is now 9-4.

Dyersburg might still be hurting after the 6-2 defeat they got from Madison when the teams last played back in August of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
