Bellbrook is 9-1 against Valley View since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles will challenge the Spartans at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Monday, Bellbrook didn't have quite enough to beat Newton Local and fell 5-4. That's two games in a row now that the Golden Eagles have lost by just one run.

Abigail Hebrank (2028) put in work while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Hebrank (2028) was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Cheyenne Duhl (2025) made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season.

Meanwhile, Valley View came up short against Franklin on Monday and fell 6-1.

Emily Woodward was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run.

Bellbrook's record is now 8-8. As for Valley View, their record now sits at 2-7-1.

Valley View's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Bellbrook has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Valley View, though, as they've been averaging only 3.7 strikeouts. Will Bellbrook keep running through batters, or will the Spartans buck the trend?

Bellbrook took their victory against Valley View when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 23-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
