Volleyball Recap: LaMoille Lions vs. Newark Norsemen

LaMoille was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Norsemen. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-6, 25-10.

Taylor Jeffers was a one-woman wrecking crew For Newark. as she had six aces and five digs. That's the most aces Jeffers has posted since back in September of 2024. Sadie Pottinger also deserves some recognition as she had her first digs of the season.

LaMoille's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Newark, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaMoille will take on Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Newark, they will welcome DePue at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
