Baseball Recap: Bishop McNamara Takes a Loss

Bishop McNamara lost against Our Lady of Good Counsel back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs took a 10-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Willis Coppedge made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Bishop McNamara's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 1-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Antonio Fleites, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Bishop McNamara's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Our Lady of Good Counsel, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3.
