Wakeland has gone a perfect 5-0 against Turner recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Wolverines will host the Lions at 6:45 p.m. Wakeland is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.7 runs per game this season.

Wakeland is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Lone Star just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Rangers by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wolverines have suffered against the Rangers since March 7, 2022.

Claire Schreiner was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. Kaylee Kinney was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Turner fell victim to Reedy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against Reedy, falling 14-0. Turner hasn't had much luck with Reedy recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Turner's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Wakeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-5.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Wakeland has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. However, it's not like Turner struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 4.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Everything went Wakeland's way against Turner when the teams last played back in March, as Wakeland made off with a 12-0 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
