Jeffersonville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Floyd Central 2-1. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Highlanders: they've now won three in a row.

Jeffersonville's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Carter Durbin, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Seymour got themselves on the board against Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday, but Bedford North Lawrence never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Stars, sneaking past 1-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Owls have posted since April 21st.

Seymour has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Jeffersonville, their victory bumped their record up to 16-10.
