Clewiston hasn't had much luck against Hardee recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
Hardee will be up against a hot Clewiston squad: the team just extended their winning streak to six. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 17-2 margin over Pahokee on Thursday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Tigers' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
Clayton Sparks made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Graysen Redish was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Braylin Herrera also deserves some recognition as he launched his first home run of the season.
Clewiston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while Hardee put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Lake Placid. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Dragons with a sharp 9-0 victory.
Hardee also got a great performance from Wyatt Beattie as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maddox Blas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Leo Marrero, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Clewiston now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Hardee, their record now sits at 13-9.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clewiston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Hardee struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clewiston was able to grind out a solid win over Hardee when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 5-2. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
