Football Game Preview: Jones Trojans vs. Floresville Tigers/Jaguars

The Jones Trojans will challenge the Floresville Tigers/Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Jones and five for Floresville.

On Friday, Jones came up short against Bay City and fell 30-23. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 707th, while the Blackcats are ranked 250th).

The losing side was boosted by Tyler Lang, who threw for 252 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Meanwhile, Floresville had to suffer through a 49-7 loss at the hands of La Vernia.

Floresville's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Jones, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
