Soccer Game Preview: Pelham vs. Hollis-Brookline

The Pelham Pythons will head out to challenge the Hollis-Brookline Cavaliers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Pelham's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Pelham is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Hampshire's top teams: Oyster River, who was ranked 21st at the time (Pelham was ranked 23rd). The Pythons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Hollis-Brookline strolled into their game on Tuesday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand Kingswood a 2-0 shutout.

Hollis-Brookline's victory bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for Pelham, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4-3.

Pelham might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Hollis-Brookline when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Pythons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
