Basketball Game Preview: Expression Prep Academy Lions vs. Blazer Tomcats

The Expression Prep Academy Lions will head out to face off against the Blazer Tomcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expression Prep Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Blazer likes a good challenge.

Expression Prep Academy is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Russell just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 62-61 to the Red Devils. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 36th in West Virginia, while the Red Devils are ranked 130th in Kentucky).

Meanwhile, Blazer entered their tilt with Corbin on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took down the Redhounds 87-72.

Blazer's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.2 points per game. As for Expression Prep Academy, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
