Volleyball Recap: Gallup Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gallup extended their losing streak to four on Tuesday, dropping them down to 7-9. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bloomfield Bobcats. The Bengals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

As for Bloomfield, their record is now 7-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since August 19th.

Bloomfield was led to victory by Sophia Gasteluiturri and Sophia Gallegos. Gasteluiturri had four aces and three digs, while Gallegos had 16 kills and two aces. Gallegos is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last eight games she's played. Devyn Dahozy also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gallup is set to square off against their familiar foe Shiprock at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Bloomfield will take on rival Miyamura at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
