Volleyball Recap: La Porte Takes a Loss

La Porte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Chesterton Trojans. The Slicers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-15, 25-13.

Kevin Vinson paced La Porte's offense, picking up four kills. Vinson got some help from Jace Pickford and his five assists. Finally, Vinson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

La Porte's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Chesterton, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 6-0.

Coming up, La Porte will square off against Merrillville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chesterton has already played their next match (against Crown Point), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
