Basketball Game Preview: Baldwin Highlanders vs. Upper St. Clair Panthers

Baldwin is 0-10 against Upper St. Clair since January of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The Baldwin Highlanders will host the Upper St. Clair Panthers at 3:30 p.m. Baldwin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Upper St. Clair likes a good challenge.

If Baldwin beats Upper St. Clair with 66 points on Wednesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Baldwin walked away with a 66-55 victory over Elizabeth Forward on Monday. Given the Highlanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Warriors are ranked 140th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Upper St. Clair beat Mt. Lebanon 41-31 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Baldwin's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1. As for Upper St. Clair, their victory bumped their record up to 20-2.
