Baseball Recap: Dothan Takes a Loss

Dothan managed to slip by Pike Road the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Dothan Wolves lost 13-6 to the Pike Road Patriots on Saturday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Dothan got a good showing from Aaron Walker, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Emmanuel Lewis was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Graham Davis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Dothan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Pike Road, they moved to 3-6 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Dothan will look to defend their home field on March 8th against Central at 1:30 p.m. As for Pike Road, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 12-4 loss against Excel on the 1st.
