Southern Wayne is 3-0 against Rosewood since December of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 2:00 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Southern Wayne is headed into the game having just suffered their closest loss since November 28, 2023 on Friday. They fell just short of North Duplin by a score of 42-40.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Kymora Stokes, who posted 12 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Hines-Bass, who earned 11 points.

Meanwhile, Rosewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against Kinston, falling 56-22.

Southern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Rosewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Southern Wayne strolled past Rosewood in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 27-12. Will Southern Wayne repeat their success, or does Rosewood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
