Recap: Magnolia West Mustangs vs. Angleton Wildcats
On Friday, The Magnolia West Mustangs''s game was all tied up 7-7 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged Angleton out 10-7. Magnolia West didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Magnolia West can attribute much of their success to Terry Daniels, who rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown.
When it comes to explaining why Angleton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Elijah Simmons. Despite the final result, he rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown. Simmons really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.
Magnolia West's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Angleton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Magnolia West will look to defend their home field on Friday against Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. As for Angleton, they will head out on the road to face off against Fort Bend Kempner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
