Baseball Recap: Louisville Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Louisville had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt John F. Kennedy Catholic on Monday. The Leopards' pitchers stepped up to hand the Eagles a 6-0 shutout. The Leopards not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 11th.

Cooper Rice was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

The win (which was Louisville's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisville will venture away from home to take on GlenOak at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, they will head out to square off against Ursuline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
