Football Recap: Selma Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Selma extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They were dealt a 47-8 loss at the hands of the Demopolis Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Saints of the 40-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Samarion Woods threw for 64 yards on four of 16 attempts. On the ground, Robert Lytle rushed for 61 yards.

As for Demopolis, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Jw McAlpine was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns while completing 82.4% of his passes, and also punched in one score on the ground.

Coming up, Selma will square off against Fairfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Saints will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 26.75 points per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Demopolis, they will take on Aliceville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
