Soccer Recap: Menendez Comes Up Short

Menendez fell victim to Beachside and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 4-0 to the Beachside Barracudas. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 253rd, while the Barracudas are ranked 56th).

Menendez's loss dropped their record down to 3-6-1. As for Beachside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2-1 record this season.

When Menendez and Beachside next hit the pitch, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Menendez will try to stop Matanzas' four-game winning streak when the meet at 7:20 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Beachside will try to stop Mandarin's three-game winning streak when the meet at 7:20 p.m. on Monday.
