Football Recap: Niskayuna's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Niskayuna had won three straight games and Chase Meisner did his part to make it four on Friday. The Silver Warriors were the clear victors by a 39-13 margin over the La Salle Institute Cadets thanks in part to Meisner, who rushed for 104 yards and two TDs. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making four total tackles and defending one pass.

Cameron Grasso was another key player, gaining 106 total yards and two touchdowns. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 75 yards.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Niskayuna's defense and their four sacks. Brayson Cudmore was especially locked on to La Salle Institute's QB and sacked him twice.

Niskayuna's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for La Salle Institute, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Niskayuna is set to square off against their familiar foe Amsterdam at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, La Salle Institute will challenge rival Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
