Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Comes Up Short

Pflugerville lost against McCallum back in August of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers fell 2-0 to the Knights.

Pflugerville was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 19 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Elizabeth Peables, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight matches. Aaniya Thorton also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Pflugerville dropped their record down to 4-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for McCallum, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

Coming up, Pflugerville will head out to challenge Liberty Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for McCallum, they will square off against Stony Point at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
