Basketball Game Preview: Lake Quinault Elks vs. Naselle Comets

Lake Quinault hasn't had much luck against Naselle recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lake Quinault Elks will look to defend their home court against the Naselle Comets at 5:30 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Lake Quinault is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game two weeks ago. They were dealt a 67-4 defeat at the hands of Mary M. Knight. The match marked the Elks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Naselle ended up a good deal behind Pe Ell on Friday and lost 64-47. The loss continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost four in a row.

Lake Quinault's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Naselle, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Lake Quinault was taken down by Naselle 73-21 in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lake Quinault was down 34-10.
