Softball Recap: Grosse Ile Takes a Loss

Grosse Ile lost against Grosse Pointe South back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils fell 12-9 to the Blue Devils.

Grosse Ile saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katie Antosiewicz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI. Sophia McCarthy was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

Grosse Ile's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Grosse Pointe South, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, Grosse Ile will look to defend their home field on Monday against Milan at 4:30 p.m. As for Grosse Pointe South, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Port Huron Northern at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
