Recap: Washington Jaguars vs. Bennett Clippers

If the Washington Jaguars were feeling good off their 68-47 takedown of the Mardela Warriors on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Washington's rough 65-40 defeat to Bennett on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Washington has not had much luck with Bennett recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Bennett was led to victory by Jace Hudson and Zakai Smullen. Hudson scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Smullen scored 22 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. The match was Hudson's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Wes(charlie) Moss was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.

Washington bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bennett, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5.

Washington will take on Snow Hill at TBD on Monday. Snow Hill is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Bennett, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Pocomoke at 6:00 p.m.
