Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jordan Brown and Aidyn Pacheco Lead Moriarty to Victory

Moriarty won the last time they faced Legacy Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Moriarty Pintos enjoyed a cozy 57-41 victory over the Legacy Academy Silverbacks. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pintos.

Moriarty was led to victory by Aidyn Pacheco and Jordan Brown. Pacheco shot 6-for-10 from deep and almost dropped a double-double on 22 points and nine boards, while Brown went 10 of 23 on his way to 27 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Brown has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Sam Pearce, who posted two points.

Several Silverbacks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daniel Tavarez, who put up six points and seven boards. Landon Gates was another key player, putting up eight points and five steals.

Moriarty's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Legacy Academy, they moved to 8-4 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Moriarty wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 50-39 victory against Estancia on the 11th. As for Legacy Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 53-38 win against Cottonwood Classical Prep on the 11th.
