South Dearborn has gone a perfect 10-0 against Batesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Knights will host the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

South Dearborn managed to slip by Franklin County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Wildcats on Wednesday, falling 12-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Knights have suffered against the Wildcats since April 20, 2022.

Meanwhile, Batesville fell victim to Connersville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 17-0 to the Spartans.

Batesville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cora Roth, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double was Roth's first of the season.

South Dearborn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Batesville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

South Dearborn took their win against Batesville in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-3 score. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
