Baseball Game Preview: Rolling Meadows Mustangs vs. Fenton Bison

The Rolling Meadows Mustangs will square off against the Fenton Bison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rolling Meadows is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

While Rolling Meadows didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 12-8 win over Glenbard West on Thursday.

Joe Brigham and Ryan Schneider did most of the damage at the plate: Brigham scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Schneider went 4-for-5 with three runs and one triple. That's the most hits Schneider has posted since back in April of 2024. Quinn Hextall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Rolling Meadows kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Fenton lost 20-5 to Leyden on Thursday. The Bison haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Rolling Meadows pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fenton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
