Basketball Game Preview: Hattiesburg Tigers vs. Laurel Golden Tornadoes + Official Tickets

Hattiesburg is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Laurel is on a seven-game streak of away wins (also dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Tigers will host the Golden Tornadoes at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Hattiesburg didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Ocean Springs, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory.

Hattiesburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Nichols, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Zavian Martin, who earned 12 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Laurel was able to grind out a solid victory over West Jones last Saturday, taking the game 24-16.

Hattiesburg's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Laurel, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
