Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Elgin). Everything went their way against the Pflugerville Connally Cougars on Monday as the Elgin Wildcats made off with a 15-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Elgin has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. Pflugerville Connally dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
